SITUATION: it ahs common boundary with Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia.

·         Known as the ‘rice bowl of south East Asia’ and ‘Land of white Elephants’.

·         Famous for shipbuilding.

PHUKET ISLAND

·         Situated to the west of Kra Peninsula.



·         Tourist resort of Thailand, it is also known for tin mines.
