         It occupies the northern part of the mainbritish Isles and also includes the Island of 
Orkney,    Shetland Hebrides and some other smaller islands.

·         The range of manufactures is wide including cement, oil refineries, etc.(in the Thames estuary).

·         An important fishing port.

·         Ecclesiastical town of greater London.
