·         Situated: situated to the east of Argentina and south of Brazil on the Atlantic Ocean.

·         First world cup football was held here.

ECUADOR

 Population: 12.4 million.
 Longitude: 75˚15’-81˚W
 Capital: Quito
·         Situation: situated on the west coast of South America and surrounded by Colombia in the north and pe U in the east and south. It takes its name from its location on the equator.
QUITO:
·         The world’s second highest capital and a former Inca city representative station of equatorial highland type climate.
GUAYAQUIL
·         Situated on the pacific coast, is the chief port and airport.
·         Also known as pearl of the pacific’.
PERU

 Latitude: 0˚ 5 18˚ 20’ S
 Population: 25.2million
 Longitude: 68˚ 40’-9-81˚20’W
  Capital: lima
·         Situated: situated on the pacific coast, it shares border with Ecuador in the south-west Colombia in the north, Brazil in the east, Bolivia in the south-east and Chile in the south.
SIZE:
·         Third largest country in South America after Brazil and Argentina.
·         Lying on the pacific side Peru is an important region known for phosphate (main source is bird droppings or guano).
LIMA
·         Capital of Peru, it is the largest city.
