Situation: The land-clocked state, it is bordered by Punjab in the west, Himachal Pradesh in the north, UP in the East, Rajasthan in the south National Capital territory of Delhi juts into Haryana.

FARIDABAD

·         Biggest city of Haryana.

·         An industrial hub which produces a wide range of goods – tractors, scientific instruments, electronics, etc.

AMBALA


·         A major military station.

·         Manufactures cotton textiles, glassware, chemicals, sort’s goods and scientific instruments.

·         Also accounts for one-third of the country’s export of scientific instrument’s

PINJAUR

·         Important manufacturing centre – A unit of HMT tractors.

YAMUNANAGAR

·         Location of paper mill based on sabai grass.

KARNAL

·         Famous cattle market and manufacturing units of cotton and woolen clothes are set up here.

PANIPAT

·         Fertilizer plant is located. Also an oil refinery has been set up.

·         Panipat handlooms and carpets are world famous besides its pachranga Aachar.

ROHTAK


·         Famous for cattle, grains and cotton market. Also known for sugar and cotton ginning factories.


BHIWANI

·         Location of cement factory in Dalmia Dadri.

GURGAON

·         Leading passenger are producing centres of Maruti Udyog, (manesar), Hero Honda Motors.


·         It ranks number three in the country in software exports.
